Anne is the daughter of Stella Griffin, criminal mastermind and leader of the WolfBlood Pack, a gang made up of fellow wolves. But Anne didn't exactly know what exactly they did when she was younger. She often stayed out of her family's affairs. Until one unfortunate night; a 13-year-old Anne had woken up to a commotion downstairs. The young wolf made her way downstairs to the garage to find her mother, father, and a few members of the pack surrounding one of their dealers. Anne watched as the dealer was questioned. What happened next would be the reason why she would never join her mother's pack.

With one snap of Stella's fingers, the pack shifted into their wolf forms and proceeded to attack the former dealer. At first, the young wolf stood there in shock. But once she saw the body, she let out a scream, alerting the pack and her mother. Anne immediately ran to her room, wanting to escape from the nightmare. A few minutes later, Stella walked in and tried to comfort her daughter. Stella explained that sometimes, these things were necessary to ensure the safety of the pack. But Anne didn't want to hear any of it. She vowed to her mother that day that she would never join the gang, or participate in anything that involved violence. She wanted to do good.

As Anne got older, she spent less and less time with her mother, deciding to focus on her studies. Even though she hated what her mother's gang did, she felt bad seeing the girls not being tended to properly. Since she wanted to give back in any way she could, Anne decided to go into Nursing. When she was certified, Anne spent a lot of her down time patching up wounded members. While her mother expressed her gratitude, Anne still tried to keep her distance. And when she finally became a nurse at the Metro Hospital, she only saw the pack a handful of times a year. The last thing she wanted was to be associated with the WolfBlood Gang.

Eventually, her mother got caught and was sent to the Steam City Prison along with half her pack. Seeing this, Anne stopped seeing the pack altogether. Unfortunately, Anne's actions were to no avail. A rival gang member found out that Stella had a daughter and set Anne up. She was framed for a crime she did not commit; drug smuggling. Unable to prove her innocence, she was sent behind bars where she was reunited with her mother. She tried her best to avoid her, but Stella had her daughter transferred to her unit. Anne refuses to participate in her mother's antics, but she lends a helping hand by patching up both her pack and the other girls in the prison. Because of her caring nature, everyone believes that she is truly innocent.

Though she isn't one to voice it, she has sympathies for the girls that her mother fights. Especially Jacky Fletcher, Stella's number one enemy since they were from rival gangs. Anne always believed that there was good in everyone. She doesn't believe Jacky is as bad as she makes herself seem, and pities her when Stella takes things too far.
