Blaire is a recently turned vampire and is still learning how to control her urges.  She was turned less than a year ago after trying to hunt down a vampire that had been plaguing her village.  Her father being a renowned vampire hunter, Blaire thought she could take on the beast.  Little did she know this was one of the most dangerous vampires in the realm.  She was quickly overpowered, her blood drained.  However, in a cruel twist of irony, the vampire made her one of his kind., becoming the very thing she hunted.

 Her village was at odds.  Many wanted her sent away, fearing her to be dangerous.  Others felt sorry for her.  Her father looked down on her, her new form a disgrace to him.   But she believed she could prove them wrong and control the dark curse of vampirism.  Unfortunately, it all went awry.

After letting the cravings go for too long, she tried to drink her own blood thinking it would subdue the urges.  Little did she know, when a vampire drinks their own blood, it will calm the cravings, but also lead to insanity.  She soon went into survival mode, attacking a village.  When she regained control, she saw the horror she had caused and fled.  Nobody had been killed, but the fear and panic she had caused was more than she could bear.

She ran away, soon finding the Lykos Caves.  There, she found a pack of werewolves to live with who understood her struggles.  Blaire was welcomed into their pack, gaining the name of  "Winged-Wolf" during wolfstime.  They might not be able to answer her questions about being a vampire, but they treat her as one of their own.

Though she has the benefits of being a vampire like superhuman speed, strength, and the double edged sword of immortality, she also has the weaknesses.  She burns easily in direct sunlight, is allergic to garlic, can't touch iron, can't cross a threshold without being welcome, and can only rely on blood to get energy.
