Just like most superheroes, Celeste started out as normal as they came. She grew up in The Metro, being raised by a small family. Growing up, Celeste always wanted to do the right thing and help others. Right after graduating high school, Celeste started Nursing school right away. It was long and difficult, but the young woman never gave up. About a year after graduating, Celeste managed to get a job at the Metro Hospital. After that, she tried to do as much good and she could each and every day. Secretly, Celeste wished that she could help the entire realm in her lifetime. But that was impossible. Or was it...?

One morning, when Celeste was walking to work, she stopped at a busy street and waited for the light to change. Out of the corner of her eye, Celeste noticed an older man crossing the street. It was fine at first, but then Celeste noticed a speeding car heading towards him. Without thinking, Celeste ran out and pushed the man out of the way. Unfortunately, she could not avoid the car... The next few days were a blur. All Celeste could remember was a voice saying that they would meet again when she was stronger.

Three months later, Celeste had managed to recover from her accident. One morning, she awoke to find a strange visitor in her apartment. It took her a second, but she managed to identify him as the man she rescued! He told her not to be afraid, and Celeste instantly knew that the voice speaking to her in the hospital belonged to him. The man introduced himself as Adrien, and he had a gift for his hero. Adrien offered Celeste a white ring. Upon wearing it, a small, floating black cat popped out of it. The little thing introduced himself as Plagg, and he was about to give Celeste a great power.

Adrien explained that Plagg helped him transform into a cat hero that he named Cat Noir. He protected the city of Paris long ago with his partner, Ladybug. But now, Adrien was retired and wanted to pass the ring on to a worthy soul. Celeste had the potential to be a great superhero, so Adrien began to train her.

A year later, Adrien officially left Plagg in Celeste's care, and the nurse was ready to become the next Cat Noir. She often trains in secret, and keeps a secret diary filled with what she's learned about being Cat Noir, so that she can pass on the power to someone else when she retires. The ring is worn on Celeste's right hand and is never taken out of her sight. Plagg is often hidden in her bag or shirt. He is usually offering Celeste advice or just being snarky. Not matter what, she is always ready to change at a moment's notice. 

Fun Fact: In order to change into Cat Noir, Celeste must keep Plagg fed. The little cat's favorite food is Camembert, a really stinky cheese. Because of this, Celeste always keeps a small container of it on her for Plagg to nibble on. So if there's ever a strange odor around, it's most likely the nurse's lunch.
