Born with the name Christina Angela Pierre. Enchanted to never age like a normal person again. Forced to be a Child of the Moon. These are but a small number of details about me. Want to know more? Keep reading to find out.
I was born in Los Angeles. I lived in a decent home with my mother, father, and two younger siblings. The atmosphere was constantly filled with music. Everyone in my family had a voice. As soon as we got older, my siblings and I learned how to play instruments. For me, it was the guitar. I was content with my simple life. But little did I know that this life wouldn't last forever.
It all started when I was 16 years old. My mother decided to take me to the park to witness the rare Blue Moon. It was a calm and peaceful night, until I heard a rustling sound coming from the bushes. Ignoring my mother, I stepped closer to get a better look. Suddenly, a large grey wolf jumped out and pinned me to the ground with its massive paws. My heartbeat quickened as my sapphire eyes met its yellow ones. After moments of silence, the wolf reared back and sank its fangs into my left shoulder. Then, it ran off.
Later that night when my mother was mending my shoulder, my first change happened. I began to feel searing pain and my eyes glowed green. My pale skin transformed into a silver pelt, and I grew fangs and a tail. When I was done, I looked at my terrified family. I didn't feel like myself at all. Too scared to think straight, I ran out the front door and into the street. A few of the neighbors discovered me and pretty soon, I had an angry mob chase me away from my home.
For years, I traveled around America; trying to find a way to control or even get rid of this curse. I earned money by performing in the streets. It was hard being away from home. I spent many nights scared that a mob would find me. The morning after every full moon, I woke up with blood on my face and chest. I cried and prayed all the time that I would find help. After about four months or so, I would move to a new town. I was no longer Christina Pierre. I was just Christina, the runaway.
When I was 18, I found myself in Boston. While hiding in a cave, I came across another wolf. His name was Tyler Bruin and he was a runaway, like me. Together, we made quite the team. We kept each other safe and he made sure that I never left the abandoned house we lived in during the full moon. He even taught me how to shift and bought me a guitar and jacket with some of the money we made. Tyler became my honorary brother.
Unfortunately, this moment of happiness came to an end. During one full moon, I accidentally got out and stumbled across a hunting party. In an effort to protect me, Tyler drew their fire and told me to run. Ignoring my instincts, I grabbed my things and ran to the city border. When I was far away enough, I turned around and howled a good-bye to my brother before disappearing into the night. I never saw Tyler again.
When I was 21, I finally came across the town of Storybrooke, Maine. Immediately, I knew there was something special about this town. Only two days past when I realized that this place was full of magical beings. Maybe, just maybe, there was someone here like me. Just my luck, I ran into Olivia Lucas. She just happened to be the alpha wolf of the pack in town. She was kind enough to teach me how to control my wolf form just in time for the full moon. For the first time in years, I didn't feel like a scared runaway or that this wolf thing was a curse. I felt happy and free and for that, I am eternally grateful.
After staying in Storybrooke for about three years, I've decided to move on to the next adventure. So, I packed my things and moved to the realm of The Vortex. Specifically the region of The Metro. It reminds me of growing up in LA. It feels right being here. Even though it's not my original home, I hope it eventually feels like it.
