Originally from Valara, Clarisse was in charge of taking care of special children. They were lost children that needed to be understood and taken care of. Though Valara is relatively safe, it didn't stop her from taking extra precautions. She created time loops so that no one would age and the day would remain theirs forever. Things were fine. That was until she made a mistake. She put her children in danger and she lost them all except for one. Distraught and overwhelmed with guilt, she took her remaining child to Steam City. She was no longer allowed to care for children and she didn't create any time loops. She grows old much like every one. 

She has anxiety and she is very depressed. It has made her turn to alcoholism. Instead of trying to mend and make things right, she makes things worse for herself and her remaining child. She hasn't forgotten the children she lost. She still remembers all the people she let down. She desperately seeks forgiveness and is unsatisfied when she can't find it. She tries to live a quiet life, but it's difficult when she is constantly drunk. It is rare to find her sober. She is either drunk or hungover. Her health is fragile but it's the least of her concerns. Despite everything, she is focused on her remaining child. She is dedicated to her and she struggles to prove herself worthy of using her powers again.
