Darcy didn't always have a name, form, or powers. But, she did always have a purpose. She was originally born as a shadow wolf; an agent to the Shadow Walker and a sister to his loyal shadow raptor. While her sister was mostly sent out for combat, Darcy was used for spying. She was an expert at hugging the dark and not being seen. Not to mention, she could easily strike and execute people from the shadows, which made her even deadlier. Being a shadow, Darcy wasn't suppose to feel emotions. But she was always different. She felt a bond with her raptor sister. Words were never really exchanged between the two, they just came and went as their master commanded. But Darcy could feel something different.

One day, Darcy's raptor sister was sent to Caldwell Manor. Darcy was sent just to watch and report back should something happen. She watched as her sister fought valiantly against Mr. and Mrs. Caldwell. But, suddenly, she saw the weakened couple combine their powers for one last attack, and obliterated the raptor. For the first time in her existence, Darcy felt a single emotion: despair. Darcy howled for the raptor before running back to her master to report the news.

Years later, Darcy was doing her usual patrol around the orphanages of the Shadow Realm. Orphaned children were often easy targets and she often took the ones that showed promised and brought them back to train with the dark magic teachers and assassins. While she was there, she caught a glimpse of two girls who appeared to be sick. But it wasn't an ordinary sickness, so she decided to stick around and see how this would play out. To Darcy's surprise, she discovered that these girls had control over flame and ice! Shocked, she ran back to her master and reported everything. The Shadow Walker was pleased. His loyal wolf had found the offspring of the Caldwells, and they had inherited their parents' powers. Darcy now had a new assignment: capture the Caldwell twins in their new home. To assist her, the Shadow Walker decide to give Darcy a couple of new powers, and a name.

Her master enchanted a ruby ring that would allow Darcy to have a human form. But, there were a couple of downsides:
1. Darcy would now be split from her former shadow form.
2. Her control over other shadows would be diminished significantly, but would be replaced with the ability to speak.
3. If the ring were to break, Darcy would lose her shadow powers forever and become human.

But, the ring also came with some upsides. Darcy could now control her shadow self over long distances, which would prove to be quite handy. After gaining some control over her new powers, she was given the name Darcy Blake, and sent to follow the Caldwell girls. Darcy followed them even when they moved to The Metro. She memorized every bit of their schedules. When they went to school, when they went home, when they worked, and, most importantly, when they practiced their powers. She wanted to wait until the twins were strong enough before attempting to abduct them.

One day, when the girls were walking home from school, Darcy was hiding in a nearby alley, waiting for the girls to pass by. But right as she was about to attack, Darcy felt something around the twins. It was an aura, a very light aura that served as a small shield. Darcy growled. Someone was watching over the twins, but who? After dong a little more stalking, Darcy discovered Arianne, the Caldwells' social worker. She found the woman very intriguing so, she decided to put her little mission on hold and find out what she could about this woman.

For some reason, Darcy felt very drawn to Arianne. There was just.. something about her. One day, Darcy found Arianne praying by a tree. She listened in and heard Arianne speaking about her past life. What Darcy heard struck her right in her heart. Arianne spoke about her past with the Shadow Walker and how she was grateful to have been given a second chance. Darcy could feel her blood boil. Her raptor sister was alive, and she had switched sides! She now felt a new emotion: Rage. The wolf inside her growled before she stormed off.

Darcy now had an update to her mission. The protective barrier around the twins was strongest when Arianne was close to them. So, Darcy now had to either separate the twins from her, or eliminate her sister. So, she decided to train, knowing that her sister had new powers that Darcy could barely defend against. She would practice in secret and soon, became strong enough to try killing in her new human form.

Recently, Darcy cornered a witch in one of the alleyways on Steam City. She smirked as the lower creature began to beg for her life. Using her shadows, Darcy sucked the life force out of the witch and let her body drop to the ground. As she executed the witch, Darcy was unaware of a passerby witnessing the entire event. They quickly took a picture of Darcy and immediately ran to to tell two nearby officers. Before she could get away, the two cops apprehended her and took her to the station.

Darcy remained in custody for quite a while. While it was clear that she was the murderer, the police had no idea who she was, where she came from, or what her motive was. Darcy simply told them her name and nothing else. After pestering the woman for a while, they just decided to send her to Steam City Prison.

Darcy didn't mind. She did commit a crime, after all. Soon, she will be in her new home among several other women. Not to mention, it would give her an opportunity to enact her revenge against Arianne and take the Caldwell girls off her hands. So, Darcy sits behind bars and waits. Soon, she will have her revenge.
