Pixie Hollow:
It had been a week since their fellow pixie, Tinker Bell, left her home. Everyone was worried that the blonde Tinker Fairy would never come back. Forced to make a dangerous decision, Queen Clarion sent two of her best fairies, Fawn and Silvermist, to look for her. The two pixies humbly accepted and prepared themselves for whatever they would face.
The two sprites flew over Neverland as fast as their wings could carry them, looking for anyone who might know anything about their missing fairy. On the third day of their journey, they came across an old woman deep in Neverland's jungle. Thought they were scared to approach, Fawn and Silvermist both knew that every piece of information regarding Tinker Bell's whereabouts was absolutely critical. So, Silvermist fluttered closer and asked the woman if she had seen their friend. Little did they know that this old woman was actually a dark sorceress.
Since fairy magic was so rare and powerful, the woman tried to seize this opportunity and capture the two pixies. But, Fawn and Silvermist used their size and speed to their advantage. They avoided the witch as best as they could, wizzing by as fast as their wings could carry them. But the witch also had a trick up her sleeve.
"Lets see how well you do without your wings!" The woman's hands started to glow a deep shade of purple. Then suddenly, the fairies started to change. They grew to the size of an average young woman, and their wings disappeared. When they were done, the two friends gazed at each other in shock and awe. They...were human! "And now for a little punishment." The old woman cackled quietly. "I think the two of you should spend some time apart!" The sky turned dark and the wind picked up tremendously. Suddenly, two portals appeared. Each dragged a fairy into its swirling vortex. Fawn desperately tried to hold onto Silvermist's hand, but she wasn't strong enough. Their fingers slipped and both of them fell into a portal. Then, everything went black...
A few hours later, Fawn woke up. But, she was alone and in a strange new world. Fawn sat up and looked around. She was in a forest, much like the ones in Neverland. But, something was off. In the distance, she saw a large black castle. Little did she know that it belonged to Queen Regina. Fawn cried out for her friend.
"Silvermist! Where are you?!"
After hours of screaming, the former fairy gave up. She hung her head in sadness and fear. She failed Queen Clarion, Pixie Hollow, and Silvermist. Fawn never saw her again...
Enchanted Forest:
After being separated from her friend, Fawn was distraught. She had no idea where she was or how to get back home. She was stuck in this place; and as a human. But lucky for her, she retained her abilities even though her wings were gone.
Fawn was an Animal Fairy; she could talk to and care for every creature in the forest. And for a long time, they were her only friends. They brought her food, gave her shelter, and taught her how humans behaved in this world. But, Fawn was scared. What had become of Silvermist? What if she never got home? Every night, she cried and prayed for someone to help her.
One night, the former fairy was visited by a small, blue light.
"Fawn..." It called softly. The young girl woke up with a start and gazed in awe at the light. But as she looked closer, Fawn realized that the light was a fairy. She stayed quiet as the fairy spoke again. "I am the Blue Fairy. And I have been watching you for quite some time, young lady. Please, follow me." Fawn gave a nod and started to follow.
Eventually, Blue led the girl to the grove that the fairies had made their home. Fawn's hazel eyes widen in amazement at all the glowing lights. Then, Blue made a magic wand appear in Fawn's hands. "You will learn how to use it and help other fairies protect our home. Welcome to your new family, Fawn."
So, Fawn did as she was told and harnessed more magic through her wand. As the largest fairy, she became the main protector of the grove. She was kept under the Blue Fairy's wing for years. But as time went by, the fairies had learned about Queen Regina's intentions to cast the Dark Curse. Fearful of what might happen, Blue prepared the fairies for the curse. The day the curse hit, the last thing Fawn remembered was a cloud of black smoke covering her new home.....
Storybrooke:
28 years later, Fawn, who was known as Leona Arlette at the time, blinked several times as she felt the curse lift. She couldn't believe it, she was herself again. The fairy jumped for joy and immediately ran out of the animal shelter and to the church to find her fellow fairies. Blue, Nova, Rosetta, and even Tinker Bell were all there, safe and sound, But, there was one fairy Fawn longed to see....
A year after the curse, Fawn had continued to work at the shelter, as it was the only thing she could do. She had taken the last name that she used under the curse. Her wand, which was in Mr. Gold's possession during the curse, had been returned to her.
It wasn't before long when Fawn met another young woman named Dakota. Who just happened to be a fairy as well. Dakota showed Fawn her home and introduced her to the animals at the aquarium. Then, Fawn met the former pirate, Avery. Though the pair didn't like each other at first, the two slowly became friends. Avery showed Fawn more of the Marina and the fairy fell in love with its beauty. After months of visiting, Fawn made the decision to move to the Marina; crossing realms into The Vortex.
Fawn now runs an animal shelter near the Marina and has found herself infatuated with a certain pirate.. She's hoping that this will be last time that she will have to move. But something in her heart tells her that the Marina will be her true home.
