Natalie grew up in a small village in the forest of Valara. When she was younger, she loved to go exploring with her best friend, Ash. When they were 11, Ash and Natalie stumbled upon an out of place cave in the middle of the night. Both girls wandered in until they came across a strange altar. Being the more curious one, Natalie approached the altar; noting the strange crystal placed on top of it. Even though Ash begged her not to touch it, Natalie picked up the crystal.

At first, Nothing happened. But then, the ground started to shake. Scared for her life, Ash ran to find her family. Natalie stood in shock as the crystal in her hand began to shake. Suddenly, a blue ray a light shot down from the sky and hit the crystal. Natalie looked up and saw that the light was coming from the moon. Before the young girl had a chance to react, the same light shot from the crystal and pierced her heart. Natalie was thrown back; her back hitting the ground with a dull thud as she tried to catch her breath. Her brown eyes changed to a bright blue. Soon, a soft voice began to ring in her head.

"You and I are one and the same. I will share my power with you. But only call on me in the night..." Afterwards, Natalie's eyes returned to their normal color and everything went black... 

Natalie woke up a few days later. She didn't have many memories of what happened. But something about her felt different. Once her vision cleared, Natalie discovered that a crescent moon tattoo had appeared on her right wrist. She thought nothing of it and continued on with her life. 

It wasn't until a few weeks later that Natalie discovered that she had remarkable powers. While down by the lake, Natalie found a turtle with human trash stuck around its neck. Only problem was, it was far away from shore. Natalie decided to ignore that factor and help the poor creature. But something amazing happened as she stepped into the water. It parted for her so she wouldn't get wet. And also made the turtle easier to access. After Natalie helped the turtle, she instantly ran home and told her parents.

After hearing her story, Natalie's parents had the girl recall the incident with the cave and the crystal. She also remembered the moon symbol on her wrist and the voice who spoke to her. That crystal must've given her powers but, why the tattoo? And who spoke to her? Natatlie decided to come back to the manner later and began to plan with her parents. Eventually, they decided that Natalie should attend the Valara Academy of Magic, as there was no one in her village who could train her. So, after she turned 12, Natalie packed her things and went off to school. 

Natalie studied at the academy until she turned 18. In that time, she mastered the art of brewing potions. She had also learned to cast spells and enchanted different objects to bestow different emotions onto users. She became a more traditional witch; claiming water as her element and earning a white ferret as her familiar. After seeing that it had a sweet tooth, Natalie named the furry thing Honey. 

Natalie continued to live with her parents until she was in her late 20's. She saved up a lot of money and finally earned enough to rent a small living space in The Metro. She figured that being in a more modern realm would be better for business. So, she left Valara and began to start her new life. 

A year later, Natalie turned 28. And once again, a major change took place in her life. One rainy night, Natalie was walking home after a night out. As she walked, she came across a young girl. She was obviously alone and too young to be out at this hour. After scanning the area, Natalie saw that no one was around. So, she quickly rounded a corner and pulled out her phone to call the police. But as she started to dial, her moon tattoo began to glow. Natalie stared at it for a moment. Suddenly, she felt herself being pushed against the wall. Natalie took a sharp breath as her eyes glowed blue and that familiar voice spoke to her again. 

"You are the only one who can help this child." Natalie's eyes changed back as she caught her breath. She looked at the phone in her hand before placing it back into her pocket. Natalie walked back to the girl and offered her the umbrella. The witch struck up a conversation and found out that her name was Arlie. And that she was homeless. Soon after, Natalie invited Arlie to stay with her.

After a while, Natalie could find no evidence of Arlie's parents; and the witch couldn't help but grow to love the girl over time. So, Natalie brought herself to court and made a case, asking to adopt Arlie as her own. 

Natalie has had Arlie for four years now and she couldn't be happier. Her store, filled with magical artifacts and potions, rests just below her apartment. Occasionally, she'll pray to the moon by a small altar she set up. As thanks for blessing her with these powers, as well as her daughter.
