Penny, officially known as Panacea, is the Greek goddess of universal healing and remedy.  Like Artemis and Athena, she was brought to The Vortex from her home in Mount Olympus long ago when the Vortex was first created.  Though the Realm of the Gods is technically her home, she spends some of her time wandering the Vortex's vast world, occasionally visiting centers of healing, such as the hospital, to bestow upon the sick and dying her gift of healing.

Being the goddess of universal healing, she is well versed in all kinds of healing methods, though her specialty is herbal healing.  She is often seen in the Forests of Valara and high atop the mountains in the Realm of the Gods, collecting various plants associated with natural healing potions. Being very knowledgable, she is also the one who apprenticed Randi and helped to guide her journey in becoming a nurse and a great healer in her own right.

 

She is the only being in existence capable of creating a potion of universal remedy, the only potion that can cure any and all sicknesses, diseases, or injuries, and can even bring back the dead if they've only been gone for a short while. The potion is a mix of rare and sacred herbs combined with her own unique magic. She always carries a small vial of it around her neck, attached to a silver necklace.

Penny has a very warm and friendly personality, but she won't tolerate rude or irresponsible behavior, holding great disdain for anyone who acts in a disrespectful way. She admires anyone who is on a path involving helping others.
